Hey guys- I need to know people's take on nudity in comics for a NON sexual storyline. I'm working on a Green Lantern fancomic which is about 12 pages long, and I get that I need to label it as mature if I post it here, but I don't want people to be offended by the fact that there's naked constructs in it, and I don't want to do arbitrary censoring of those naked constructs like they do in comics, so natrally, I'll be posting it as mature with filtering here cause that's DA's policies.

The deal is that it's all artistic nude stuff, so there's nipples, and pubic hair, but it's not meant to be sexual. They're just naked. For those of you wanting to read non sexual comics of characters, would you be offended seeing nipples or pubic hair? Below I'll attach a work in progress of what the most problematic page is to me-

Context (Please note- if you are disturbed by artistic nude or are underage, these links are not filtered):-

With nipples and pubic hair

Without pubic hair but with nipples

Please note, it looks WAY too strange to omit the nipples entirely and call her nude, so one of the above options really needs to be what I go for.

Opinions?

As an artist, you create the world and everything within it. Therefore you decide what is natural, and if it is the way it should be, then don't let "outer" influences try to force what you feel to be natural.

In terms of my opinion, nudity is a perfectly natural and normal state of being, and should never be an issue. The fact a portion of society does have a problem with it shows how twisted it has become, sadly.
Therefore I think it should be increased in awareness anyway, to show that it's actually fine, and not damaging. I myself have no problem with it, and the first day I took drawing class with a nude model it never made me flinch in the slightest. Actually, the only surprise I had on the first day of drawing class was that we were going straight into drawing on the very first day, and not just covering aspects of the paper, which was what I was expecting.

Nudity is fine, go for it.
And as for pubic hair and no pubic hair, then the question lies with what is natural for the character. Sort of like how some guys shave their facial hair and some don't, if that makes sense.
