I'm going to have this as an A2 poster at Armageddon this weekend to advertise my comic being published in full format- maybe I'll even manage to nabb some attention all the way in the cheep seats of Armageddon Maybe.
Tell me what you think (no critique please- it's all too late. the printer has it )
I wasn't sure when I sent it if you would- I think I may've skipped sending it to Murk too cause he never has money on his phone XD Luls. I thought I might celebrate anyways ^^ Call it blowing my own trumpet, but in the end, I'm really proud of my huge effort in making the comic
...
And who doesn't want to see Blaze's face slapped all over a printed page? FOR THE WIN!!
IT'S TERRIBLE!!!!! BURN IT!!!! DESTROY!!!!! MUST DIE,MUST DIE!!!!!
Speaking of which, I was at a thrift store today, and I saw a "Dora the Explorer" shaped Pinata, and I thought "boy, wouldn't I love to whack the crap outta her"
Seriously though, awesome poster. All the comic-con geeks will be hard over it...I won't be, cause all my erections are for you only.
XD Not sure about hard, but it'll be noticeable One thing about NZ comic artists is they seem to sit there and look threatening, scaring people away. What attracts people is the art right? Why don't they put nice big posters on the wall? I'll have this, and a laminated copy of as many of my posters as I can to advertise my art. After that, it's up to the buyer to if your art is good enough to shell out on
It's not too bad for a few hours of *actual* work. It slowed my computer down something chronic. It's A3 at 600dpi- that's double what I normally do, and my normal art sows my computer up T.T
It's cause they go there with the negativity of not selling anything cause noone notices them. in the end, they could have an awesome comic, but noone knows cause it's like confronting a rabid dog XD That's why I smile, show colour and my art People grumble when I make a sale, but theoreticaly it helps them too.
you should hire models to stand behind your table (male and female), then put a sign out that says (for every comic I sell, one of the models of your choosing takes an item of clothing off"
that'll give the other vendors something to be grumpy about
LOL- I wish ^^ I'd prob be kicked out for indecency XD It'd have to be an all male team too. I'm not having a bunch of pretty women showing me up XD Luls.
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
