Well, I've always admired this digetal colouring style for being so pretty, and I finally got off my butt and tried it ^^

Drawn in pencil, with hours of digetal touching up, highlights, screw up, layers that give me the ultimate pain in the ass- finally its finished XD *dies* To be honest, part of the inspiration for this picture came from :icondemonneko: 's gallery, which at the moment is flowing with beutiful angel pictures. I've been edging for a while now to draw a light//pastel coloured pic- to be different ^^ I was going to make it a random angel, but I vertually never draw her now days- I do draw her more than Drakobitus though...

Anyways- story? This is Athena's soul crying cause she didn't want to give her heart to Alex, but she has anyway, and I goes against everything she believes in. Being the man hater that she is. Alex's determination and passion is gnawling its way in her ;) Don't you hate that? Heheheh. No honest- a frustration of love. Falling completly in love with someone you don't want to love- or falling in lovewhen you wish not to at ALL in her case. Drawn as an angel, cause that's Alex's nickname for her- his angel, Athena *gets all lovey dovey*

So, what does people think of this colouring style in comparrison to the solid lines one? Better? Worse? Just as good when it suits the picture? Or do you not care due to the fact that she is NAKED. Men- I will never understand you lot ^^;

Update: Made her tears more transparent. Ummm- better? ^^;

Update: Made the hue of her wings details a tan colour to hide the details more. Are we there yet?

Oh- do you mean sad? Yes, it's sorta sad. IT's got sort of a tragic feel to it even though it's not truely tragic. It has more of a happier side to it when you realise that it's something that she wants but hasn't accepted yet :)

Thank you :) This picture is now about 6 years old though. I've improved in my colouring confidence alot since then :)

Really? Hmmm I guess I'll have to go and search your work lol. I'm fairly knew to this site so I surf around. It was/is beautiful. Unfortunately I'm not as talented and I'm lucky enough to draw stick people lol. Again, beautiful work. :)

Thanks- if you look at the details of the picture, it'll say there when a submission was submitted to Deviant art. This one was done on June 27, 2005... The date also happens to be on the art in this picture as well.

Thank you for reading my comments though- that is an appreciated trait, even if it was for an older picture :)
